Setup
Five steps. Most teams finish in under 30 minutes.
1. Connect your calendar
- Sign in to the admin page and open Calendar.
- Select Connect and approve access with an account that can manage room mailboxes.
- Copy the App ID shown after approval. You need it in the next step.
2. Limit access to room mailboxes
Run this command in your calendar admin shell. Replace <app-id> and
<room-group@yourdomain> with your values. After this, MeetingRoomBoard can read
only the mailboxes in that group.
New-ApplicationAccessPolicy -AppId <app-id> -PolicyScopeGroupId <room-group@yourdomain> -AccessRight RestrictAccess -Description "Limit room display app to room mailboxes"
3. Pick rooms
- Open Rooms. The list shows every room mailbox MeetingRoomBoard can read.
- Turn on the rooms you want to show. Only rooms that are on are billed.
- Set a location and capacity if you want them on the display.
4. Pair a tablet
- On the tablet, open the display address from the Devices page.
- The tablet shows a six-character code.
- In Devices, select Pair, type the code and choose the room.
The tablet switches to the room status within a few seconds.
5. Install the kiosk app
For tablets that must stay locked to MeetingRoomBoard, install the kiosk app with your device management tool. See Kiosk & MDM.
